Dragon age origins : Any content that isn't Vanilla game is bugging

Hi, i got Dragon age origin ultimate edition on steam (yes it was on sale) i entered my code on origin because Steam and EA don't like each other and Dragon age don't work on team for very obscure reason.
So i downloaded the whole edition and all DLC on origin which seem to have all downloaded perfectly.
Then when i came up to do DLC content everything was totaly bugged out including all other campaign, the Awakening expansion and all the DLC with all the content that wasn't on the vanille DAO game.

Well, it was ''working'' if you consider a Bioware game without dialogue, story, untouchable quest object and name, description and stat for any item given by DL content.

I searched the Answer HQ and tryed the stuff with the 1.0.5 patch for the ultimate edition : first the download don't work anymore from the bioware link so i had to get it from third party website and the patch not only don't fix my problem but all bug out and make crash the only part of my game that was fine until now. (i reversed the whole thing)

Also tryed to download all the stuff manually from bioware social page but nothing work.
Please forum community you are my only hope.

I actually managed to do it!! I installed it on Steam (the vanilla game only) and downloaded everything from the bioware social tab it work just fine now all extra content are appearing normally and like they should i don't now what the bug was but Origin was what is causing the problem. Thank for you time it worked on an idea someone gave me (which was how he managed to make it run correctly).

Did you downloaded the game twice? From Steam and from Origin?

Yes, but don't worry i uninstalled it from Steam before even starting to download it on Origin

@Mrcoolize The Origin base install should come with everything you need, there shouldn't be any reason to install 1.05 or take any other steps.

At a guess, this was caused by the old Steam install. Despite removing it perhaps the DLC download tried to attach itself to the old Steam install. The Origin game then of course couldn't see the DLC.

What I'd do now is take the nuclear option. Delete DAO and all the DLC, then wipe Origin's cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/origin-my-games-list-is-blank/

Once you do this you can try running ccleaner which may catch an old registry entry which might be the cause of the problem here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/pc/how-to-use-ccleaner-to-fix-pc-issues/

Once all of this is done you can try a fresh install through Origin, hopefully everything runs fine then.

I suspect the same as what @EA_David suspects, that Registry entry's or files left over from the Steam installation cause this problem.

Cleaning the Registry after deinstallation is also imho your best shot.

I did all the step correctly and all extra content remain with no character or name (for the map zone) i can't have dialogue and item name remain like this : exemple from what i guess is Cailan's helm : (kcc_im_arm_hel_mas_cai) Like my inital problem only extra content is affected i am really clueless on what is doing this massive bug.

That is after a new installation of DA?

If so delete DA again.

- Choose a new folder or drive for your Game Library. (In Origin, menu top left corner > Origin > Application settings > Installs & Saves > On your computer > Game library location.)

- install DA to the new location.

I am reinstalling it right now out of the program file in a different folder like you told me any idea what to try next if the problem persist?

Sadly i have no improvement..... ☹️ (and i kinda start to get tired of starting new game :P )

To recapitulate:

You deinstalled the game from your Windows control panel.

Then you cleared your Origin cache as described in @EA_David post.

Then you used the Registry (not just the normal.) cleaning funktion of CCleaner.

Then you installed the game new.

Is that all correct?

If so crate a new local Windows user account (Administrator) > reboot > logon to the the new account > run Origin as Administrator > test.
