[EA app] Dragon Age: Origins - Blood Dragon Armor

Hello,

Since the migration from "Origin" to "EA", I have been unable to use my saved files for "Dragon Age: Origins" normally.

I get a warning message that this saved file requires the extra content "Blood Dragon Armor". When I try force loading, the game starts at the same point of the saved file, but I lose all of my items related to the blood dragon set.

I never faced this issue when I played the game on Origin, but after the forced migration to EA I am unable to use my saved files normally like before.

Windows is blocking the download because the downland uses a http connection wile the side itself uses https. Windows detects this as a possible security risk.

You can still download the file by clicking on the arrow or the dot menu and choosing "keep file" or "allow download" and install the it with the "DAUpdater.exe" (Dragon Age Origins\bin_ship\DAUpdater.exe) The file is save.

The only alternative I see is a full clean uninstall of EA app and the game with Revo uninstaller.

A couple questions/ideas :

Have you checked in the downloadable content in game to see if the armor was there and activated ?

You could also try and go there https://dragonage.fandom.com/wiki/Downloadable_content_(Origins)#Promotional to download the dlc and manually install it. In theory it should fix the issue

@AbdelAziz1193 So with the armor, it is kinda broken so the main thing is did you own it back then? If you are not currently entitled to it, there is no way for the system to install it. If you did or do own it now, and your account was originally entitled for it, at least in DAO it should be an easy fix.

However, lets say you had EA Play, or someone else did on that PC/console and it was downloaded and you played the game, once the sub expires you lose access and you cannot use that save.

@AbdelAziz1193There is one (or rather several) they're not obvious though.

Use the table of content to go down to "Manual Installation" (or scrool down but it'll take longer xD).
Scroll down to "Location of downloadable content packages" (right after the explanation on how to install).
Below you'll find a list of all the dlc. Find the line "DAO_PRC_PROMO_ME - Blood Dragon Armor" and simply click on Blood Dragon Armor, it should download the dazip (do the same for any other dlc/content you might be missing if you'd like. Do read the instructions below though some dlcs need some more files)

@EA_Shepard : The sequence was as follows:
I bought the game on a physical DVD around 8 years ago
I activated the game on "Origin", and everything worked seamlessly (including blood dragon armor).
I was forced to migrate to "EA" recently, and blood dragon armor never worked after the migration.

@AbdelAziz1193 Let us know if this works. If you were already entitled to it, you should have it. the Armor has been kind of broken for a while. I am doing a fresh install to test it though.
