I'm having the same problem, I can get to the first window that opens where you can change your video, sound, and other settings; and even look at my hardware stuffs. As soon as I click on the Play button it does not open the game. Right now this is the only game I want to start playing. I wonder if there might be a download limit, there has been a couple of times where I was having problems with STEAM or my laptop in general and had to "Factory Data Reset" and reinstall everything i had on there......This is crud, I understand the game is old and there's little care to take care of this for those who like nostaglia but still someone should be trying to figure out what the F*** can fix this.
