Honestly....unless you are playing the game on multiple computers, just turn off the Cloud saves and occasionally make hard copy backups on your HD or USB stick to safeguard against lost saves.  By hard copy backups, I mean create a folder somewhere on (one of) your HD or on a dedicated to this purpose USB stick for all your games you want to protect.  Then go into the saves folder for those games and copy the saves files from them to this folder using sub-folders and such to make sure they don't overwrite.  Have a habit of copying the files of recently played games that you care about to this place once a week or so depending on how often you play.  I would do this instead of relying on Cloud saves of any sort, and Origin cloud saves has helped my family once, and messed us up twice, so it is disabled on all computers in my house, since it is 1 for 3 in situations where it did something.

Most games if I lose a save, oh, well, I will just play them again or deal with it, but the important one have backups on my computer.  And on some games it helps to clear the saves folder of older saves because it speeds up save and access times....
