It could be your CPU usage going to 100%. I don't know if the patch made it worse myself because I was getting 95-100 per cent usage before the patch. I still haven't made it past the character creation screen.
If that's not the problem then I don't know.
Got same, before patch random 2-3 second freezes were once in a long while.
Now game is actually not playable! Doesnt matter what kind of settings or resolution i set up is exactly same situation, game pauses for 3-5 seconds to work for same amount time and pause/freeze again.
Tried everything defrag / drivers update / changing settings etc. nothing works.
Before patch was not 100% smooth but with a comfort zone to play the game, now its BROKEN!
I've posted my issues in several threads but I think the EA guys are just going to ignore my messages and requests to remove this patch. For $70 I should have the option to remove game damaging patches and updates. Not happy, and will continue to complain until someone addresses this problem.
