Re: Dragon Age Inquisition - Freezing whole computer, occasionally crashing to BSOD
funny i have somewhat the same problems as u guys do but for me i can play the game just fine for a little while then my whole pc freezes completly and i get this wierd sound coming from my speekers, having to hard reboot the pc, resaulting in me loosing one of my hard disks. This can happen if i jump, open a freaking door or talk to someone, it just happens suddenly. If playing for 5 hours ill have to hard reboot like 5-6 times, cause of this and now i also get the game freezing on a loading screen, u know the standard black screen with a green loading pic in the corner. i more that meet the minimum requiemts, and could meet the recomended ones if not for the name of my graphics card (lol, found it wierd did a testing on why my graphis card dident meet the requiements and the anwser i got was the name).
Have a Amd fx 8320 8core cpu. nvidia geforce GT 630 (4gb), windows 8,1, 8gb ram, and everything it totaly updated made sure of that before playing DAI
Turned out that i might have found the problem for me that is. One of my hard disks where a few years old and as it turned out (not tested it yet) it might have been that causing the problems for the game, it was running on its last breath and couldent handle the power needed for DAI, so unpluged that one and am atm installing the game again, will give an update to wether it works or not. But thats just my solution might not work for others
SOLVED
As it turnes out it wasent a hardware error at all..
It seems that the new graphics driver is the cause of the freezing of the pc (atleast for me) and it helped uninstalling the latest update and install not the latest one but the one just before that. Dont know the driver name for ATI but for Nvidia its the 340.52 driver.
I hope it helps others cause that driver causes alot of conflict on ur computer, i learned the hard way.
