Re: Game Breaking Bugs

Well, yes, I tried disabling mods, re-installing the game and EA  App. Still, nothing.

Thanks, I'll try the framerate solution out. Tho as far as I recall I disabled the framerate limit at all.

One thing you could also try is to delete your config file. Even if you uninstall the game, the config file will stay as is. If there's a setting in your config file that causes this, that would explain why a reinstallation didn't fix it.

The file is at Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save and is called ProfileOptions_profile. Deleting it will force the game to make a fresh one.

  • Hey, tried the FPS fix and deleted config file you marked - still all the same. The only issue I can possibly think of: last times I played (and completed) Inquisition it was Origin not EA Desktop and it would let me playing without starting it, just with my Steam on. Maybe the app is causing some issues?

Thanks for trying to help, I appreciate it.

UPD: Loaded a previous save, before Storm Coast. Went to Crestwood instead. Everything went normal and I could go back to Skyhold until I tried to enter Flooded Caves. Then the loading screen, the black one with the Inquisition icon bottom right and... poof... "You lost connection..."

@SubohmCat Wanted to follow up with you on your game. When you save your game, do you save over the same save file, or do you save different save slots?

That disconnection error can happen for a few reasons, typically it is just a desync but "if" your save became corrupted, it can cause issues especially if you have mods on there.
