Open up your networking adapter properties and check to see what is available as far as protocols..and compare them to your work laptop that can download the info.

Make sure your TCP/IPv4 and 6 are all enabled, as well as others there.... wondering if something got turned off at a point by AV or Firewall, and hasn't ever been turned back on when needed.

Also check the status page and make sure it lists, IPv4 Internet and IPv8 internet, plus media state enabled on that page. You should also be able to compare it to you work laptop as it does work.

Also make sure it knows that your network is private and not a public network, since it will restrict stuff on public settings.

Thank you for your reply. I've had a quite extensive troubleshooting session yesterday with a few helpful EA support agents.
I have tried fiddling with the network adapter (enabling only IPv4, enabling both IPv4 and IPv6), even uninstalled and reinstalled the network driver completely - no difference.
I was advised to reinstall my GPU driver (performed - no improvement) and to run the System File Checker, as per below links:

However, the SFC found nothing (attached screenshot of the result.). The next step thus would be a reinstallation of Windows (as I have been told by EA support).
This comes as quite a dissapointment. Was kind of expecting someone technically knowledgable (level 3 support) about Origin to have a look at the log and be able to identify the issue instead of going over to a reimage solution.
I will not have the time to reinstall Windows the coming two weeks, I will have time on the weekend the 9. and 10. February. So unless any additional measures (ones that identify and address the issue) are provided, I will be going forward with the fresh Windows installation.
