Origin's Black Friday sale is going on, and the price difference between GOTY and standard edition is $10.00, which is the exact price of their 'sale' on the DLC (30% off, so 9.99). Having the 'digital deluxe' edition, the only real option if I am interested in the DLC is just sucking it up and buying the GOTY. As others have already pointed out, this is really just reinforcement training that you should NEVER buy a non GOTY release from EA, as you will either end up buying a GOTY later or you will end up spending more on DLC in the long run.

Except, of course, that those of us who don't wait for the GotY edition get to be playing the game for months-and-months while others simply wish they were.
Personally, I've found NOT waiting has been worth every penny in entertainment value received across all six of the base games (and ALL the DLC) for the ME- and DA-series.
