Show Off your Best Inquisitor Before Dragon Age: The Veilguard Release!

Character Name and Background: Maeleena Lavellan. A Dalish mage. Sent to spy on the conclave as a punishment for circumventing the Keeper by arranging for the 4th mage of the clan to safely gain passage elsewhere. The keeper was going to leave the mage to fend for themselves.

Character Name and Background

Name: Eralen Lavellan

Background: Eralen's father and mother were some of the best hunters clan Lavellan had to offer. Therefore it came as a large surprise when Eralen didn't show the same effortless talent wi5h the bow as her parents. Still, Eralen was determined to take up the mantle of the clans best hunter, and would get into all kinds of trouble following the clan's hunters to learn their tricks.

When Eralen was still a young child, her mother died unexpectedly. This put an end to her adventures into the forests for a long time, as her father forbade it. 

Eralen begged and pleaded with her father, finally getting him to relent years later, as he finally agreed to take her out himself and teach her the ways of the bow.

Left to care for their daughter, Eralen's father raised her and taught her for many years, with the help of the clan to guide him. 

Eralen's observations of other hunters had given her some bad habits, which her father had to correct in their lessons. But by the time Eralen was old enough to receive her Vallaslin, she showed remarkable growth and promise. 

After reaching adulthood, she had surpassed even her father. She was given the right as a full-fledged hunter after managing her first kill on her own. It was only a few years later that the Keeper entrusted her with the important mission of attending the Conclave in secret.

Personality and Choices 

Eralen is intelligent, quick-witted, sharp-tongued, and often stubborn and feisty. But for those closest to her, she is warm and affectionate. 

Eralen chooses to find middle ground when she can, and will not throw away something that may have its uses. Especially if those uses will give an advantage- her lessons as a hunter taught her this skill. She was, of course, not afraid to call out the ridiculousness of a situation when it was warranted.

Favorite Moments

By the end of Inquisition and into Trespasser, Eralen joined the hunt for her lost love Solas. Now a full-fledged Artificer, no enemy could stand against her for long- not without being flung into the air by her traps, and then pummeled into the dirt by Dorian, Iron Bull, and Blackwall. While struggling for her life against the veil magic on her hand, she still set down traps that fumbled even the stealthiest of rogues (no, seriously... nothing more satisfying than laying a trap behind you only for it to go off seconds later with a dagger rogue flying high).

Name: Maxwell Trevelyan

Background: Born on the twenty-fourth day of Bloomingtide 9:15 Dragon, Lord Maxwell Reginald Trevelyan was born as the youngest child of Bann Trevelyan, head of House Trevelyan.  Hailing from an old distinguished family in good standings among its peers and with strong ties to the Chantry, Maxwell initially enjoyed a life of privilege yet detested the idea of being expected to follow suit towards a similar path in service of the Maker as a devout and loyal Andrastian—regardless of his personal feelings or motivations as those with little chance of becoming heirs often join the Chantry to become either templars or clerics. His older sister, Evelyn, was sent to the Circle of Magi before fleeing to join the mage rebellion.

Personality and Choices

Maxwell Trevelyan is a calm and perspective man who was well aware of his reputation as the "Herald of Andraste" inspired in others, but even then he is in general as apathetic, often speaking bluntly. His naturally calm attitude allows him to remain composed and focused, noticing everything around him. Even in near-death situations, he is able to stay collected and resourceful. As a result, Maxwell can quickly adjust to any situation to make keen and thought-out decisions and stay steps ahead of his opponents. Despite this, he can be rather modest about his upbringings, even confessing that he was awkward during his childhood.

Favorite Moments

By the end of Inquisition and Trespasser, Maxwell announces the Inquisition will serve under Divine Victoria as her personal honor guard and peacekeeping force, answering to no one’s authority but hers.Over the next several months, Maxwell soon accompanied Josephine to Antiva, where he found himself warmly received by her family and House Montilyet soon became a second home… a place where he could, at last, find peace for a while, with Josephine happily by his side. They eventually married in Antiva City, with their friends and respective families in attendance. While his fight against Solas is far from over, Maxwell intends to recruit new agents who Solas is unaware of. "We will save our friend from himself, if we can."
