Sound Problems on PS3
After today's patch every time i go to the black emporium the sound turns off permanently, it requires me to leave the emporium, save else where and restart the game at least twice for it to come bac...

Community AdminThanks for the detailed post. Just to gather more information, is all sound gone or just some aspects? As in do you hear an occasional stutter or complete silence? By "conversations don't pop up" do you mean that you can't initiate even silent conversations? Can you try clearing the cache to see if this has any effect?

I lose all sound once I leave the Black Emporium. Everything is fine in the Emporium, but upon traveling anywhere else, all audio is gone. It comes back if I close the game out completely; just going back to the menu doesn't seem to fix it.
Here's a detailed description of what happens:
I travel to the Black emporium, there is backround sound and you can hear the antiquarian takling, but he has not loaded well, the model looks low poly and with no textures, also there are no effect sound when i press L3, or when i open a menu, or go into the item stores in the emporium, after i leave, where ever it is i go to, there is no longer any sound at all, no effects, no music, not even in loading screens, when a approach an npc or party member to speak to them, dialogues don't pop up at all not even the subtitles, or they lag greatly and are cut short, if I go back to menu and reload the black emporium save or, the later one where i've already left the emporium, sound will still be absent, and if I exit the game completely my ps3 will crash and reboot before exiting. I hope it helps to solve this issue.
I have the EXACT same problem. I leave the Emporium and my Sound is gone. When I exit game MY PS3 crashes and sometimes it will get stuck at Synchronizing Trophies screen when it hits 100% and I have to delete the game data in the install folder on my PS3 and reinstall the game. I have been a LOYAL Customer to EA and especially Bioware for a very long time. But I am starting to think Bandai Namco is a better choice for video games or Square enix. I never have any problems with FROM SOFTWARE games like Dark Souls, but I always seem to have issues with EA and Bioware games. Please dont forget the PS3 users, we are still customers like a previous comment stated. Ea/Bioware please fix this problem. I have bought all of the Dragon Age games and all of the Mass Effect games, not only for my PS3 but on my PC as well, (when my first PS3 broke) But Please Fix this issue thats all we ask, I am sure a simple PATCH could fix this programming glitch, cant be that hard to fix. Anyone Else starting to think that EA doesnt care at all about their customers and that EA is destroying Biowares reputation? I am starting to feel this way about their support. When I had an Issue with Ni NO Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, I received help from Bandai Namco almost immediately, and since it was a common problem the issue was fixed within weeks. When I had an issue with Final Fantasy 13-2 Square Enix was all over it and the issue was fixed. Look what FROMSOFTWARE has done for Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, they have fixed several of the issues customers complained about. Right now EA and Bioware are falling behind in Customer Service. Maybe if you stopped outsourcing the Jobs to India your Customer Satisfaction rating and overall quality would go up. Think about your Customers please. Thank you.
- Same issue. Everything's fine until I leave the Emporium. At that point, all sound disappears, as though my receiver is muted. The only fix is to restart the game completely from a save outside the Emporium.
Is there any chance we're gonna see a solution for this problem? or are Bioware and EA going to put us under the proverbial "rug" and turn their back on us yet again? it'd would be nice to at least get confirmation that some one up there is aware of our issues and working on fixing them, if there is, i thank that person inmensely!

EA_David, can you give us at the very least any confirmation on if Bioware/EA are working on solving our issues? or are we supposed to shut up and deal with it?
Sooo almost a month has passed, you guys have given us no word, no notice, no fix, no nothing, are we even going to keep getting support? or is bioware also taking that away? and if we are getting support is the next patch going to address the myriad of bugs that have poped up with patch 8? are we barking at the wrong tree here?
Im having the same issues with traveling to the black emporium and then all sound cuts off.
