Throne Not Working

So I just got to skyhold, done one or two quests and whenever I go to sit on the throne to complete the quest associated with it (The Sit on your throne quest) the game loads then nothing happens, no cutscene or anything, wondering if this is a bug or I just can't use it yet?

  • Have this problem as well. Happens during the second sequence in the throne room (the one when a sidequest is completed). When clicking sit, game goes to the regular load screen but sits there for ages. Eventually after 4-5 minutes it boots me out of the load with a bunch of people standing around but I cannot see or continue to the throne questline. Breaks the entire forward path of the game. Now whenever I try to click the throne, it won't allow me even though the marker is there for the quest. Also, I've tried reloading, rezoning, rolling back to previous save -- every time it breaks.

    Change the throne style in the undercroft. Mine did thaqt once, changed the style and, it seemed tto rest the throne.

    Same problem for me. Even changing the throne style does not help ☹️

    Edit: maybe found a solution. Try to quit Skyhold for another map (Storm coast for me) and come back. The throne should work again.

    Was this ever fixed?  It has happened to me repeatedly OVER and OVER again.  I try to sit on the throne to judge people.  It sits for a while loading.  Then loads and basically the person I am to judge is standing before me, with a crowd, and I am not on the throne to see a cut scene...  I can merely wander around freely as if time is frozen.  Here is an example image....

    Anyone?  Tech Support?

  • I have this happen all the time, and for me it is related to quickloading after completeing a judgement to see what the other choices do. The way I have avoided this is that I make a full save before the judgement and then choose to load from the pause menu, and load that full save. When I do this, I don't get the Throne glitch.

    Not sure if that will help you, but it works for me.

    Yeah I thought it was that too, but it didn't work for me.  I always do a full save beforehand.  Re-loading that full save seemed to still cause the issue.

    @steviez44 ;

    This is NOT  "Tech Support".  The AHQ is for "player-to-player" self-help and game-play discussions.

    It isn't??  Wow ok.  Then someone needs to change the link on the forums main page that says "Technical Support".  Very misleading if there are no Bioware techies here helping out.

    Hi. I can confirm this worked, (traveling to the stormcoast and back) when nothing else did. I had the throne at a custom one when the bug started, and I had set it back to the inquisition one, then tried to initiate, had everyone standing there. (and blackwall as this was at his trial I had issues with) almost as if time froze. then I traveled to the storm coast and back (my team when traveling was sera, cassandra and vivienne. don't think it matters, but in case it did). I then hit the throne again and everything proceeded as normal.
