Trespasser boss gets stuck on 1 hp.

I just got the dlc trespasser and I would think it wouldn't be this buggy seeing that it's been out for a while. It is updated to the last update but I keep getting stuck on the boss battle !!! ITS FRUSTRATING! I am even playing on casual and I am NOT dying. That's not the problem. I get all the way thru to the end and he just starts hovering in the air stuck on 1HP and the companions start yelling nothing is hurting him use your mark. I do and it does absolutely nothing???? I reloaded from an earlier point. No change. Same thing happens. This dlc is almost as much as the actual game now. Great story I want more but I want to actually be able to play it. Casual mode should actually be casual ! I know many wouldn't find that exciting but after playing it normally after a while I'm done with fighting and enjoy it for the story. Either I'm not getting something about how to beat this boss or it's a bug. Please help or fix bug. I don't even know if anyone is gonna answer considering that it's been out for quite a while now. All answers to this problem were dated 2015 but non solved this problem.

I slept on it and tried another 10 times lol I ended up watching others playthrougs of the bos again. I had to watch a few tho to see what they were actually doing and it turns out that I just didn't get it. My bad. I just got really frustrated because I've never had this much trouble in the main game! Grr The solution is to get close to him and doing the new rift ability you got at the beginning of the dlc. I just never thought of that cause I was a mage and focused on long range so I tried the usual rift ability I was used to from the main game. Also being long range I didn't have the greatest armor so when I tried it before with the new ability I probably died before it got thru. Even tho I never had issues staying alive until he does the hovering bomb throwing thing and with Cassandra as my tank I could still revive the inquisitor again and again. They keep yelling at you use the mark! I just didn't think it had to be a specific mark ability! Thanks for the quick reply tho. I didn't see other people having that issue either that's why I thought it might be a bug. Looks like my thinking process was bugged lol

I visit these forums almost daily and I've never read anything about this. Could you post a video showing this phase of the boss fight?

If you found any other threads about this issue, could you link to them?

@carcollett86 Hey, what system are you on? Can you check a playthrough of the boss in question? It should help show if a step is being missed or if it's actually bugged.

    Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply! I ended up watching a few other playthrous and turns out that as a mage being used to using the old rift ability long range I just didn't think of having to specifically use the new rift ability up close when he starts hovering and shooting bombs. So more of a brain bug of mine than the games lol. I still think it was too frustrating on a casual level but I understand that the dlc would be over in an hour or so if it was easy.
