Up direction on left analog stick not working properly

I sent this as an email, and they told me to post it on the forums so developers could see it. I also tried reinstalling the game, which didn't fix it.

The up direction on the left analog stick doesn't work properly. I know it is not my controller because it works fine on other games.
I thought it was just when running at first, but when I went into the menus and held the up direction, I noticed the movement was choppy there also.
The last time I played it, I didn't have this issue (that was some time in January this year I believe). I noticed it a little, but it wasn't nearly this bad.
Sometimes it is so bad, the game is barely playable. I can't hardly get my character to move from one place to another. It isn't slow down either.
The character runs fine to the right, left, and down. It is only when you try to run by pressing that it is a real problem. I don't know if it might have
something to do with a patch that was released between then and now, but I know it used not to be this bad.
