Dragon Age Veilguard Key bindings don't show

Hi all, 

I'm running DA Veilguard on PC, and I have this strange issue where instead of the actual key used for each occassion, the game shows an X thing. It's very hard for me to understand and learn which key to use for each action, and unfortunately even if I try to update the key mappings myself and assign my own buttons, the problem persists so I don't remember easily which button I selected per action... Thought it might be a language issue, but my keyboard is set to English US and so is the game.
