in other game of the franchise of DA the romance had a rewarding Feel, you committed to them and work with them and bonded with them. which leaded to a amazing physical moment in a dark and unforgiving world, you felt the relaxing moment.
in DAV though the rewarding aspect isnt there, it feels more lacking, the bond is there but the moment is not.
I don't know...I don't feel like the bond is there. We barely get any interaction with companions, much less our romances. Most of the time it's like Rook isn't even there because we can only interact when the game says it's ok. The majority of the time we're little more than a fly on the wall- we walk up to companions standing near each and we don't really get acknowledged. The companions chat and we stand there, doing nothing. Not interacting...not able to give input. It's very frustrating.
