Is anyone else Missing there blood dragon armor after preordering Veilguard?

I fired up Veilguard for the first time yesterday after preordering it, and right away I noticed I was missing my Blood Dragon Armor. My Deluxe items were there, but the preorder bonus was not. I did the usual, repair game then uninstall-reinstall which did not work. I contacted Steam support first, since that’s the platform it's on, but they told me they don’t handle in-game items and to reach out to EA instead.

Now after talking to EA, a few minutes ago, I found out the game never actually synced properly to my EA account. That’s why the armor didn’t unlock. And because Veilguard isn’t showing up in their system as tied to my EA account, they told me there’s nothing they can do. I am not sure what to do next as Steam says it’s not their responsibility, EA says they can’t fix it, and I’m stuck in the middle, with out the item.

I will tell you this, that Veilguard is the first and last game I will preorder from EA
