I'm sending you the dxdiag file as requested.
I tried launching the game after following the instructions in the article on "Windows clean state", but unfortunately it didn't make any difference; the only change was that it took a moment longer to load after clicking "launch" before the EA application appeared again.
I don't see any immediate red flags in the DxDiag. I'm having difficulty identifying the problem myself. I will ask someone else to take another look at it and maybe they'll see something I've missed.
