Coffee with the Crows Only - Action Buttons unresponsive

Hi, I attached my screen capture so you could see. Essentially, the action buttons work fine until I start the “Coffee with the Crows” quest. As soon as it starts, the action buttons no longer respond except for in the menu. 

you can see in the video that I jump, jump attack prior to starting the mission  once it starts, you see me running around in a circle because I’m hitting x / square / triangle a bunch to no avail  

I can confirm that this is not an issue related to the controller software, since it literally only happens after I start this mission and only with this game. 

I did move on to other quests after loading a previous save and I was able to finish those just fine. Tried coming back after doing a few more missions and it’s still the same problem.

Super frustrating since I really need to progress with treviso before moving the main storyline to not miss anything.
