Game freezes when I try to start it...

So, I was able to play the game this morning when I downloaded it on Steam. I played for about 8hrs and took a break. I went to get back in to the game and it started freezing when it would try and load. I uninstalled the game and reinstalled and it still freezes when trying to load the game. Talk about frustrating.
