Game license is invalid when launching Veilguard through EA app

I am attempting to launch Dragon Age: The Veilguard through the EA app.  The following error message occurs:

“Game license is invalid 
The app couldn’t read the game’s license file, so we suggest relaunching the game in online mode.  If the problem continues, try clearing your cache.”

I am in online mode, indicated by a green check in the upper right corner of the EA app. 

After clearing the cache through Help->App recovery->Clear cache, the app restarts, but the same error message occurs when attempting to launch the game.

After repairing the game through the app the same error occurs

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, the same error occurs.

Anything else I should try?

    Hey there,

    It’s been a little while since you posted this, so I wanted to check in and see if you’re still getting the “Game license is invalid” error when launching Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

    If the issue is still happening, please try signing completely out of the EA app, restarting your PC, and then signing back in before launching the game again. You can also try running the EA app as administrator and then launching Veilguard from there.

    Let us know if you’re still running into the same error after that, and we can take it from there.
