Neve's barrier not displaying during Fire & Ice

Thanks for asking; here's what I've seen so far:

  • The barrier visual displays during "The Cobbled Swan Case" when Neve protects Rook against Aelia / Damas.
  • It doesn't display during "Fire and Ice" when Neve protects Rook against Elgar'nan.
  • It does display correctly later during "The Returned Cultist Case" when Neve protects herself against Aelia.
  • Other spell effects seem to be displaying correctly in other parts of the game.

This is still true during the current patch. Her barrier still doesn't appear during the cinematic ending of Fire & Ice, even though the audio still plays for the missing effect.

    I also can confirm that it does not display during Fire & Ice still, though the audio does play. It more looks like they're dancing and doesn't quite make sense as to why Neve is there if you don't have her in your party.

      Are y'all on console or PC?
      Has it happened when you reloaded a save before the patch and then played?
      Have you tested it on another playthrough with he same result?

        Hi, there. Thanks for the follow-up.

        1. I've confirmed the issue on PC and console (PS5), for multiple users.
        2. Since console only allows 3 total saves, I don't have a pre-patch save to test, but maybe someone else will.
        3. It has happened on every playthrough I've seen since patch, both for me and asking my friends/watching streams. It is reproducible in every Fire & Ice new save.
        4. Neve had a bug that was patched out, where she was appearing as duplicate in this scene. When duplicate Neve was fixed, her ice barrier went missing. Attaching screenshots of the difference.
