No Companion Dialogue During Enemy Battles
I’m currently having an issue where companion dialogue during fights seems to be bugged. I haven’t had any at all for a solid 10+ hours of gameplay now and nothing I’ve tried, like rebooting the game...

I've got physical PS5 copy on Christmas. It's installed directly on my PS5 with the disk inside the PS5. No external hdd. It's my first playthrough. At first I saw all the romance banter with other companions at the lighthouse and was surprised when a friend told me that Emmrich should call you petnames during battles. Cause he never did. So I loaded save before locking the romance, locked the romance again and he started using them, but everytime the second companion used their comment on romance he stopped. I took someone else and he again started using the petnames and after their banter about Rook and Emmrich stopped again. Now I am out of banter on this topic and he haven't used petnames since. I do have a lot of saves before and after locked romance. I just don't know how to provide it.

Community ManagerCorrect, Emmrich will frequently use pet names like "darling" or "dearest" during battle when you are romantically involved with him, offering praise and encouragement throughout the combat.
Do you happen to have a USB you can remove some of those saves? Im curious if you reload before they locked, with less saves, but load it manually through main screen. If you cannot load the save that is fine. PC is easier than console.
Unfortunately I don't have drive that is fast enough or big enough to be formated by my PS5 to use to transfer data. So I am not able to provide the saves. I'll try to get back to the save before the romance is locked. Than I'll save it as a new save. Restart the game and try to lock the romance again?

You can try to go back far enough to before you lock it in if you have the save, but it would have to be a couple of hours. Not everyone can. OR - test a new playthrough. Leave the one you have, and go at it again. That is frustrating. I had to with Bellara's romance but thankfully I had some time to run through the game. I updated the team on this specific issue, so they are aware. What happens next is a wait and see or find a workaround.
I am trying to play again from before the locked romance. It started working again. But I 'll see if it stops again after the companions run out of comments on Emmrich romance or not. I'll let you know. And thanks for the support. Hope the team'll be able to fix it soon.
