Nvidia Smooth Motion + Frame Generation enabled causes purple screen flashing

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. In the NVidia App, go to Graphics -> Global Settings.
  2. Enable Smooth Motion.
  3. Boot Dragon Age: the Veilguard
  4. Enter gameplay.
  5. In Display settings, enable Frame Generation.
  6. Play naturally.

Results:

Screen will flash purple during gameplay.

    Nvidia RTX 5090 Founders Edition

    AMD 9800X3D

    64GB DDR5 CL30 RAM

    4TB Samsung 990 Pro

    In retrospect, it's a bit silly because to enable both at the same time because Smooth Motion is intended as a replacement for Frame Generation in titles that don't support it. Perhaps if the game was able to detect if Smooth Motion was enabled and gray out the Frame Generation setting? Or make Smooth Motion not interact with the game?
