Stuttering

Hi,

Was wondering if stuttering is a problem others are having and if there is a fix I've tried all the graphical settings and display nothings happening. Updated Bios and GPU drivers. I have a 4080super and Ryzen 7800X3D. Not sure what else I can do?

Hey Everyone, I have found a fix for my frametime spikes/stutters. Unfortunately, this only applies to Nvidia RTX4000 graphics cards.

    Try the following:

    • Disable either Frame Generation

    or

    • Leave Frame Generation enabled and set DLSS to Balanced and not Quality.

As soon as Frame Generation + DLSS quality is on, I can reproduce the frametime spikes in the starting area of Arlathan.

However, as soon as Frame Generation is deactivated (DLSS remains on Quality) or DLSS is set to Balanced, the frametime spikes are gone and the game runs much more smoothly.

I have tested the whole thing on two systems. And both systems were affected by this bug.

    System 1:

    Windows 11

    Ryzen 7 5800x3D

    Nvidia RTX4070Ti Super

    32GB DDR4 RAM

    Samsung 980 Pro

    System 2:

    Windows 11

    Intel Core i7 13700k

    Nvidia RTX4090

    32 DDR5 RAM

    Samsung 980 Pro

    Edit1:

Here is some videomaterial of my analysis.

If using an AMD GPU, disable Fluid Motion Frames

I also capped my FPS to around 60, as the cutscenes are locked to 60 fps from my overlay.

This seems to have fixed my issue with a multi-monitor setup and 3x   "4K @ 144Hhz monitors" but I run DAV on a single monitor

I'm having the same problem. I've also tried literally everything and it still stutters, no matter what I do. I'm running an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 7 5800x.

  • I am having the same issue. The stuttering is so bad, its impacting the immersion for sure. :(

  • Do you have a multi monitor setup? It started doing this for me recently as soon as i click into a different monitor

Me too. I have a gaming laptop with a 4080 and have tried changing every setting possible have everything updated and I am still getting frame drops to the point where I am losing all enjoyment with the game. I don't think this is something that will be patched anytime soon
