"EA" Launcher is just the most terrible launcher I have ever used

Update, uninstalled.

EA App is hell on earth. Why buy a game if the app does not let me open it. The app is so bad it makes Origin look like Steam. Can't open the game, can't sync my game, I thought it was my internet, went to fall guys, and everything is fine, same with fortnite and Stardew Valley. But Mass Effect Andromeda and Need for Speed Heat now are games I won't play because the app would not let me. Why buy EA games if they install an app in your computer with the sole purpose of make you suffer. I complained 3 weeks ago and guess what. the issue is still there. The app is a scam.

This launcher truly is absolute garbage. The only reason I have it is for MySims and Sims 4, but it can’t/won’t even run either of them. Every time I uninstall MySims, because it’s directory is broken, it uninstalls Sims 4 as well. And it takes hours for Sims 4 to try to reinstall. There’s no reason for it to be that slow. I don’t have this problem on any other launcher. 

i just want to add that the EA launcher is absolute garbage. hopefully anybody with some say is reading these comments, you will never be steam. whats the point of this bs app if it wont even launch.

This new EA app is so bad that even though it gives you the option to install it elsewhere, if you don't keep it in the Windows Program Files folder, it won't work at all. All of my other game launchers are installed in the proper Windows Program Files(86x) folder where they should be since i'm using a windows 64 bit OS not the old 32 bit OS. Yet for all the complaining i'm being told by EA customer service that I have to keep the app where they want it (the option to move it is there so why not work properly after I use said option) or I cannot use the app at all much less play any EA games that I own. What good is me paying for the EA Pro subscription each year if all your are going to tell me is "put the app where we say" and that's that. I went thru this with you devs back in the beta days of this new app ...I told you then and am telling you now, the app is utter garbage if we can't use it the way we want. you are just a publisher EA and your launcher should just do that, launch games, not force me to place it on my pc in only one area and completely break on me if I chose to use the move options you give.

Went to play a game today and was forced to install the new launcher.

Now every game is failing to launch.

I thought Origin was bad but they managed to outdo themselves and make something 10X worse.

Truly amazing

A game that I had installed before the update is now gone once this terrible EA app was installed.

Does anyone know how to switch it back to Origin?

@EA_Leeuw @EA_Barry Guys, can you get the attention of some manager or dev team lead in EA who's responsible for launching this mess of an app? I have a few words for them:

If they want us to replace Origin with their newfangled EA Desktop App:

1. It must allow us to disable cloud sync per game and globally like Origin
2. It must run without a background service like Origin
3. It must allow us to set default tab to our game library like Origin
4. It must allow us to invite friends and join their games from the friend list and chat like Origin
5. It must allow us to play games offline like Origin

Please also tell them that I've asked whether they all have hay in their heads when they thought launching the new app without those 5 basic features, let alone forcing it on users, was a good idea, because that's seriously stretching even the very definition of a Minimum Viable Product.

While you are at it, please also tell them to keep away from open flame -- I worry about their safety.
