Games Libraries across Mac and Windows should match
- 23 hours ago
Hi AlexaOfHadestown ,
Just to clarify something here, as this isn't an issue with the EA app failing to display or sync the same Library between two computers.
Games need to specifically support the operating system they're being played on. The EA app is available on both Windows and macOS, but that doesn't mean every game available through the Windows version also has a macOS version. Each game has its own supported platforms and system requirements.
In the case of It Takes Two, the PC version was released for Windows, and there is currently no macOS version of the game. The supported platforms are PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
Because of that, reinstalling or refreshing the EA app on the Mac won't make It Takes Two appear as an installable Mac title. This isn't a case of the Mac app having accidentally removed access to a game that should otherwise run there.
I also want to clarify the refund point. A game not supporting a particular operating system isn't the same as the game being made unplayable by a technical issue on our side. Refund eligibility depends on where and when the game was purchased and whether it meets the applicable refund criteria. (https://help.ea.com/en/articles/orders-and-rewards/refunds/)
I can certainly understand wanting to play together across Windows and Mac, and the feedback around making platform compatibility as clear as possible is fair. However, we don't have any information to share suggesting that a macOS version of It Takes Two is planned.
