My EA account was logged in by Russian hackers in February 2023, who changed my password and email address, causing me to be unable to log in to EA normally. I think the most direct way to prove a player's identity is to provide transaction screenshots of purchasing games on Steam and email screenshots received in their email, as it is almost difficult for hackers to obtain both types of images at the same time.
