How do I make a shortcut to game in my library after installation?
As question asks. In my experience creating a shortcut directly to the .exe causes issues so I'm assuming that's not a viable option. I'm not seeing any other option in the launcher to create a short...

Hey Lucifiish Onebay1 -- you don’t need to reinstall to get a desktop shortcut.
The EA app doesn’t currently surface a “create shortcut” button after install, but you can safely create one manually without running into issues if you point to the correct file:
Option 1 (recommended):
- Open the EA app
- Go to Library
- Click the three dots (…) on your game tile
- Select View properties
- Copy the Install location
- Navigate to that folder in File Explorer
- Right-click the game’s main .exe → Send to → Desktop (create shortcut)
Important:
Make sure you’re selecting the actual game executable (usually named after the game), not an installer or anti-cheat launcher — that’s what typically causes the issues you mentioned.Option 2 (alternative):
- Launch the game once from the EA app
- Then check your Start Menu → Recently added
- You can right-click → More → Open file location → create a shortcut from there
Feedback like this helps push improvements, so I appreciate you calling it out.
