I'm still using Origin as it still works for me. I've heard so many bad things about players being unable to play their legally purchased games on the new EA app. So much in fact that I don't want to change to the new app. I will keep using Origin until it is no longer usable. I don't get it why a perfectly working software must be replaced with a broken mess that locks you out of your games.
We can only use it because we have not been online since early 2022 i would guess. I am still using Origin as well and extremely afraid of moving over, since i have not heard nor read a single positive feedback on the new app yet.
The sole reason for me to use the EA app instead, would be to purchase packs for Sims or play multiplayer on Andromeda, but the con*s far outweigh the pros. (why the * is "con"s censored?
Sucks because i would have liked to buy some sims packs from the spring sales ☹️
I lost at least 5 Sims expansion packs, spore, and a couple other random games because "my account was deleted/deactivated or some crap like that when it switched over." It should be as easy as as "resetting my password to reactivate" except...... I don't get the email to reset, even though my account was confirmed to be in this limbo they "HAVE NO ACCESS TO AT ALL." Also continue to get sales emails somehow.. just not the single one I need to unlock my account. If anyone has had a similar issue please let me know.. Sorry I'm ranting but genuinely just want access to my games I've paid hundreds for ya know..?
No the Origin only works offline.
Purchased from EA played on Origin on an old computer not sure if i even still have it. Either way still cant access my old account which I personally didn't delete.
You guys can download the latest Origin client from a reddit post. Your stuff will work offline like nothing happened on there.
If you are still using Origin and can play your games. Stay with Origin. I can't play anything on the EA App.
And I can't get Origin to work anymore. ☹️
