Re: Why does the EA app display "Games have been removed from your library"?

Same exact message. I cleared the cache. Yes, I own all my games, no play passes or rentals, just bought & owned, nothing is connected to Steam, & I even ran a repair on all the games present. It's still showing some "quest-item" as being removed for an unlisted reason. It looks as if all my add-ons, EPS, &/or DLC are present & accounted for, it's been a while since I played anything. I'll have to have a play day to see if anything is glitchy, missing, or running strangely, then I guess I'll have to address whatever it is at that point.

How weird is this?

  • Same here - It says a quest item was removed - but all looks like before - and the reason is unlisted. It would be good to know what exactly got removed

Yeah, I'm still getting that quest_item message, too. I want to know what was removed, and why.

See, this is why I'd much rather be able to purchase physical copies of games, not digital copies that can be removed from MY computer for any reason without my permission!

What happens if EA loses the license to Star Wars games? Are my copies of Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor going to be removed from my PC, just because? What happens when EA decides to sunset support for the Jedi games, or the Mass Effect series? Will you remove them from my PC, because it's more convenient for you?

Is EA really so tone-deaf to how their actions negatively impact their customers' perceptions of them? Yes, that's a rhetorical question.

One more thing - why do my Mass Effect games and Command & Conquer have an EA Play banner on the game icons? All of my games are MY games, i.e. they were purchased. I've NEVER had an EA Play subscription and never will. How about removing that banner from MY games?

  • I have my whole game library removed for paid games that I have in Origin.
