SIMS 2 stuck loading screen going to another lot

I bought the Sims 2 but I keep getting stuck in the loading screen. I did create a family. I went to a holiday lot and then to the beach lot and then back to the holiday lot, only now it remains in the loading screen :(

Someone tips??
