Hi, thanks for the update. Sorry to hear that you've already tried the suggested troubleshooting steps without seeing any improvement. I understand you're experiencing Error Code: EC:10005 in the EA app. Please take a look at the pinned reply in this thread.
In the meantime, one Sims player shared that the following workaround helped them:
I essentially had to uninstall and reinstall the launcher. The EA App now recognizes the game as one I own and has it in my library. Before, my only library options with the game were "Manage Add-Ons" and "Install", but now I have the option to repair, uninstall, update, etc. I'm updating the game now, and it seems to be working
This error may also be related to connectivity. You could also try:
- Using a wired connection.
- Restarting your modem/router.
- Testing with a different network or a mobile hotspot.
- Running EALauncher.exe or EADesktop.exe as an administrator (located in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop).
Let me know if any of these steps make a difference. Thank you for your patience.
i`m not doing your job for you!!!! i did everything u out up there and so much more than that! is enough! i get EC:10005 in app every time. i can login here but not in app..... fix it or give me back my games money so i can buy then on a diff platform. I never wanted to be your customer but you purchased the platform where i had my games so i had no choice!!!
