Battlefield 2042 will not launch with EA Play on Steam

I own EA Play on steam. When I launch Battlefield 2042 it I see this: EA support told me to contact Steam support and Steam support told me to contact EA support. Does anyone have an idea what the p...

@sprangsunt, how do you mean exactly that you removed BF2042 from your Steam account? 

It also looks like you're running into a different issue now. Could you take a look at this thread and see if the marked Solution also works for you?

I rightclicked on the game in my library=>properties=>remove from account, then I reinstalled the game. I tried the marked solution and it didn't work

    @sprangsunt, you removed the game from your account, but did you also re-claim it via EA Play for Steam?

    @sprangsunt, could you try to download Apex Legends via Steam and open that to see if it works? If that works, check again if BF2042 works as intended.
