Maybe a weird request, but could you maybe reach out to the Live Support team (via https://help.ea.com/contact-us) and check with them if they can see if your Battlefield V EA Access (now called EA Play) entitlements have been correctly deleted from your account when your subscription expired? It could be that they are interfering with each other, if they are not correctly deleted from the account. This can happen sometimes, sadly.

I got the same problem. Played BF V for a month through a free membership of XBOX game pass, deleted the game, and bought it through Steam.
Now it won't launch, reinstalled BF V and EA two times already, cleared the cache. Got 2 different error messages. Seems like it is a conflict in EA app determining which game launcher to use. The cache doesn't seem to clear it.
