Don't see an option to locate game files EA Play Desktop

There is no option on EA desktop too add more install locations, like Origin has.  I think they missed the boat there when designing the app.  This feature is a must

I think they hide the option because they don't know how to solve the bug that crashes Origin when trying to locate a game. They have a lot of money but even starting from scratch and creating a new client they are not able to add basic funcionalities and reach application stability. What a shame. I mean, out there you have two major client such as Steam or Epic Games, if you can't do it yourself (and this is what is happening, again) just copy. Players doesn't give a f*** if your client has a beautiful design but they can't DOWNLOAD, INSTALL or PLAY the games they bought on your platform.

So I actually tried the method and you when trying to close the app it kept stuck at wrapping up.


So I tried just installing a game in the exact same ea games folder I created previously. And it just looks for files no need to go looking for a feature it was built in the installer.

Just install the games you had in the same EA directory where they exist and it will find existing files and might update if your backup is older.

I know that your method works as i've used it before, however in my case i'm trying to locate BF4. It's located on my SSD which has 50gb free - but BF4 with dlc is almost 70gb, EA desktop then says there's not enough space to download, even though the game is already on the drive.. Any work around for my scenario that doesn't involve deleting anything off my ssd?

EA get your * together this app is horrendous and i'm forced to use it because Origin doesn't support EA + Xbox Gamepass. So frustrating
