EA app - Friends list loads foever, unable to send invite

Unable to play the game "A Way Out" with a friend.

I played the game for about 2 hours two weeks ago.

Today, I tried to play again and pressed the online play option, but I couldn't find my friend on the screen.

The screen in the attached file keeps loading indefinitely.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling EA, but the same problem persists.

Nothing has changed since the last time I played, but the game won't run.

I want to know the exact reason for this issue.

Since I have played for more than 2 hours, I cannot get a refund.

I am very frustrated and demand a prompt resolution.

Hello, I have the same problem too, as well as three of my friends. This started yesterday I believe.
I have tried many things reported to have fixed overlay issues in the past. This includes disabling Nvidia Overlay, Discord Overlay, some Services. Then also clearing EA Cache, reinstalling the game. running as Administrator etc. None of that standard stuff has worked.
Simply the friends are not loading to invite them and the white circle keeps on spinning. In my search I found a user with a similair issues but a different game "https://www.reddit.com/r/origin/comments/1f53flc/helpp_i_was_playing_a_way_out_with_a_friend_and/".
I have attached a similair image from my experience.

It started having the problems when the EA app got update before that everything worked fine. The screen-shot you have attached is the same problem i'm having also.with the friends list

I purchased it on Steam and have been using it by linking it with EA.
When playing, I also keep the EA application open.

My friend and I just got a copy of A Way Out each, NOT USING REMOTE PLAY, and we tried to invite each other through the ea play service. However, the overlay gets stuck loading forever and we cannot invite each other.

Me and 3 of my friends get the same issue when trying to play PGA online, exactly the same image as you have shown. Don't expect anything less from EA... or the gaming industry as a whole. Happy to take your money and then release a buggy game with a buggy UI app. Corporate w*'s
