EA app freezes or shows “Not responding” at startup (Feb 2026)

When I start my laptop I get this error. I need to open my game at first to open ea app. Clearing cache or reinstalling app not working. CM thread update

Could you please run an EA Error Report and share your Report ID here for me so we can take a look?

Go to Start or press the Windows key on your keyboard, and enter EA Error Reporter

- Alternatively, you can copy and paste the following path into the Windows Explorer address bar: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop
- Once you’re in the folder, select the ErrorReporter application.
Choose the Type of problem you’re having.
Tell us about the issue you’re having in the Description of problem field.
Check the box next to By clicking this box, you agree to share diagnostic information with EA.
Select Submit report and wait for it to complete.
Make sure to keep your Report ID for future reference. You can click the copy to clipboard icon to copy it.
