I FIXED IT. In windows go to "Power & Sleep" -> "Additional power settings" under "Related settings" and select "High Performance". Then try and relaunch EA and it should open right up.
Well this no longer works, its back to not working EA_Leeuw do you have any update for us based on what OP provided?
