EA Desktop download is frozen and Download Manager isn't loading

I tried to download The Sims 4 and the download is frozen. I've included a screenshot to show what happened. I can't stop it and Download Manager won't load so I can't stop it from there either.

I solved the issue! If you're having the same issue just go to the top left click the three lines at the top. When you do that, click help then app recovery.

@BlazeOfSteel412 I just wanted to say thank you. I thought I was going crazy, this fixed it for me. Definitely a cache issue.

Gotta love when OP updates the post with a solution. I guarantee this has helped hundreds of frustrated people.
