I deleted and re-installed the entire EA app yesterday after i made the post and it finally let me go offline so my game is fortunately still accessible.
I cleared the cash and repaired the app like you suggested and attempted to update again, but now I'm getting a different error that says the folder doesn't exist?? I launched my game yesterday to make sure it still worked and to see if I could get the original error that started this whole thing, and I'm really hoping that isn't what caused this.

Community ManagerThanks for the update. From what I understand, the Delta folders are part of the game’s program files.
Please try repairing the game through the EA app. You can do this by opening your game library, selecting The Sims 4, then going to Manage > Repair. This should restore the game files back to their default state.
So it's looking like my repair is also still broken. It will get about halfway through repairing the base game before looping and then giving me the error from the original post again. I really don't know what I did to make my sims so mad at me. 😂

Unfortunately, it seems like nothing here or on the thread you recommended is working for me. On the thread you recommended it seems like the poster said that the solution actually didn't work and that the game updated after they repaired the app which I still can't do. After reading the post though, I'm starting to think it may be because I bought Adventure Awaits? I don't recall having any of these issues before I bought it, but I can't quite remember if I bought it before or right after the issue started, so I don't quite want to blame the pack considering I don't really have a way to test it.
I've literally never had an issue with the EA app before this, and it's honestly grown more irritating because now my game isn't working right – which I would normally attempt to fix with a repair but for obvious reasons I can't. I appreciate your attempts to assist me with this issue and I apologize for the delay in response :))
