Error INST-14-12157

My EA app suddenly stopped working and when I try to play my Sims game it tells me I need to download the Origins app. I have been trying to download the EA app for days and I keep getting the error message inst 14 12157. I have tried running the installer as admin, deleting all EA files on my computer, clearing the catch, and even turning of my computer security but I still get the same message. I apparently am unable to play my games without the app despite being able to log in on the computer and the app not downloading.

    That didn't work either, but I did manage to get it to work. I had to open task manager while it was attempting to download where I noticed it said EA Installer (32) 2. So I expanded where I noticed 2 identical tasks and closed one. It still didn't download right away, but upon restarting my computer, the EA Installer popped up at start up and did download finally.

    I already did everything on your "troubleshooting steps" and nothing worked.

    What do you mean try using a different connection? What connection? Please clarify.

    A different connection like a data connection from your phone, to connect your PC to the internet, rather than your normal connection from your modem/router.
