@bond1j89 I am curious about the Windows install. When you did a fresh install, did you download any security software, antivirus, or anything of that nature before you installed the Steam/EA App and the game?
The only real thing that a fresh install of Windows alone should stop it from launching would be no admin rights, UAC, and maybe Windows Defender but rarely does that stop programs.
None just windows updates, I even turned off all of windows security and antivirus. Admin rights and antivirus were what I thought of first. The EA app march update is when the problem started, I then found the one work around that got me back in the game. Then the EA app updated again an I was back where I started.

@bond1j89 I appreciate it. Im going to send that over to have them take a look. When you installed everything did you install them all to the same drives or different drives? I only have the two drives so same drives

Yep its good to be thorough when so many have the same problem.
Same issue for me. Reading these comments, I deeply regret subscribing to EA play and downloading 3 games. None work as they should. The EA App is a major problem on most games. Fifa 17 for instance is offline now, servers are finished, however, I must be online to play it, and it takes 5-10 minutes to launch. FIFA 23 lags after couple of matches and you have to delete the ini file from documents and restart for it to run. Mass Effect simply refuses to launch. How can a company like EA be so problematic for gamers? It's beyond me that you have not found a solution for this MAss Effect problem months down the line. I will not be renewing my subscription after reading this thread.
@EA_ShepardAlso having the same problem here, just bought it and downloaded trough steam. It goes exactly like the fellow posted in the Youtube video

@ferretboylucy When you installed it through Steam and not the EA App, what specifically happened? What error(s) did you get if any? Each PC is different and these issues aren't always because of the launcher or game alone. There are always more factors that play a part.
there are no errors for me, steam will launch the EA launcher, a window will pop up and close within about 5 seconds.

@ferretboylucy That typically indicates something is causing it to be blocked. Since it also launches the EA App, Can you launch from within the EA App itself?
I have the exact same problem.
Cannot launch from EA app as well
the ea launcher doesn't seem to make a difference. It just launches the same window that closes after a few seconds.

@ferretboylucy can you open the task manager and launch it again and see if it even shows up, or shows up and then disappears from the task manager?
the ME:LE application doesn't start or appear. it opens a new EA window that is blank and closes after a few seconds

@ferretboylucy Gotcha. That indicates that a program or Windows itself is blocking it. There are a few things to check first.
UAC - If you changed this in Windows change it back so it gives you the Windows pop up
Security programs - If you have anything other than Windows Defender, disable it completely or if you are comfortable testing it, uninstall it
Multiple drives - If you have two hard drives in your PC, make sure that the game is installed on the same drive as the Steam/EA App to test it
You can also try the following and see if they make a difference as there could be a background service stopping it
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
- Try the Game in different Compatibility settings
- Try Safe Mode with Networking
- Try a new Windows Account
Tried all of these solutions and none worked. All I get is the app launching with a blank screen then the game doesn't start. I've tried every fix under the sun and none work. I just wanna play my favorite series man.
