This does not work for me, please give another way to get the games to work on EA Play, I have Anthem and Need for Speed Heat downloaded and all of a sudden I don't have access and I have to re-download when its already downloaded.

for some reason my EA app wont let me play the games in my collection what ive been playing for a while> when i go to play them it is telling me to download them again but i it wont let me download them becuase there already in my libary? if you could help me out id apprieciate it no end mate

I have the same issue and no one is helping me out either, only thing I know is that EA launcher does not have the right file pathing to where the game is but I don't know how to rewrite that so were on the waiting game for a admin here to help us out.

I am having the same issue too with Madden NFL 22. Clearing the cache did not work for me.

It didn’t work for me either. It is happening with Battlefront. Any other ideas? If I re-download will I lose all my game progress?

I wouldn't suggest redownloading, the pc will most likely uninstall the previous version first and perhaps lose the progress. I've contacted EA twice already and they keep telling me 'it will be fixed soon' but arent't able to providenme with an actual timeline, so this might last for a few more days. For me this problem started 2 days ago.

Hi, this has been happening to me as well but clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, reinstalling Gamepass, and restarting my PC/updating my drivers/running as admin all haven't worked (which were all the suggestions I've found in forum threads to solve this) I am 177 hours into Mass Effect Legendary edition and I'm terrified about losing my progress; what do I do here?

Hi, I am having the same or a similar problem:

All EA-App games are in my library, but apparently not installed. (FIFA, Battlefront).

When I try to re-install, the program says that it isn´t possible, because there is "a small problem", not specified any further.

It seems, if looking at all the other messages here, that your app has f****d up.

Please help.

@EA_Jason I have the fifa 22 game file on D drive and ea desktop app ask to download i have cleared the cache using "App Recovery" it doesnt work

Tried everything in this forum. Same Issue at the same time on Account1/Win10 and Account2/Win11. Surely this means it is NOT the computers but something Upstream that's causing this.

I was able to narrow down something that you might find interesting. When you press the option to go into "offline" mode, then for a split second you'll notice a white screen which I've screenshot here which basically explains why I'm seeing "download" instead of "play". Yes, I did check twitter feeds for both EA and Battlefield but nobody reported any issue there yet at the time of writing this.

Bottom line, other games have the "Play" button, just not any of the Battlefield games. - So I'll wait. 

this didnt work for me ☹️ I may be misunderstanding the ea platform, as i can play the games via the installed games sidebar. But when I click on them, theres a blue button saying download even though I have it installed. Im not sure if this is an issue, or if im just only supposed to use the sidebar.

i'm really new here at these stuff in ea help i just need  help with something  

in Ea play App i have FIFA22 in my hard drive but it doesn't installed in EA Play yet i can't download FIFA again because of my internet it's very slow .
so i started download FIFA then i pressed pause in that time when i was copying my FIFA to add it in my new files to continue the downloading i faced that problem i found files that contain _DiP_Staged and FIFA folder has already 44GB but i didn't download it yet so i can't do that methot for adding a game without downloading

The problem is still present. Just switched to EA Desktop from Origin and the new app doesn't recognize any of my games as being installed.

I did that and now all my games and packs are gone and it’s saying I have to buy them again? Pls help me I’m really freaking out rn cuz they cost a lot of money I had one game sims 4 wich is free but the packs were expensive please help.

..This is the first time in a while I jumped back on my EA account to play some games I have installed. the only one that worked was one that i play through steam. but the others are not showing up as installed. and this peice of * software is asking me to download them..that are already installed on my computer. i tried changing the installation path from the defauolt to where the games are currently installed and hitting the download button for a breif moment then canceling to see if it pickes the games up as sugested on this thread along with clearning the app cach and nothing works.

I also tried forcing the game to run by clicking the game exe in this case starwarsjedifallenorder.exe from thie installed directory. and i get a window poping up saying

"YOU DONT HAVE ACCESS

This title may have been downloaded  to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again"

.wtf is going on???. so what am i supposed to do? just redownload deadspace1-3 and jedi falle order all over again??? even if i do that what about that no access BS??? ...this is a joke.. its 2023 and you dont have a locate previouis installed games option on your software. * ridicules  only EA evver gives me problems..no issues with steam GOG or even epic launcher..

Sort it out!!

If it keep repeating downloading after finish i figure out a very stupid fix that worked for me.

Set another game, small if you want, to download after the game tha keeps downloading over and over. After it finishes download it jump to the next one and the game is ready to download. And for me both games download and stop. You can set to download another game and after start you can cancel too. No other fix they said worked for me. This is a horrible APP no wonder people prefer to buy elsewhere.
