my husband noticed that every time i open the sims, it makes our entire internet slow down and makes his games lag really bad. i dont know much about computers so looking for help. i did the dxdiag thing but i dont know where to go from there. any help appreciated.
I have been speculating my girlfriends Sims 4 Launch has been causing massive lag spikes in my games for months and am happy to learn I am not crazy!! I’m about to have her launch it through a hotspot until this is fixed. Recently she’s been waiting for me to be out of a game which sucks for her.
Just a quick question. My internet was hardwired into my computer, through an Ethernet cable.
Is yours too?
I took the Ethernet cable out last night, and connected to my WiFi the good old fashioned way. Since doing that, the lag spikes seemed to have stopped
I am having this issue as well. Similarly, it seems to only have started in the past 1-2 months - though I've noticed it's been progressively getting worse. I also have high speed internet and do not have this issue with multiplayer games.
I would like to add upon talking to my partner, it seems to have appeared about the middle of January after they did that massive update on 16th in preparation for the Sims Anniversary
I would like to add that this is also happening on my computer when I play sims. My internet is fine, but the minute I boot up the Sims 4 it causes my partner and son to both have very laggy internet. It’s been happening for about a month now
I forgot to add ive tried playing in offline mode and it still lags my internet the second it starts to load up. we have the fastest internet speed in our area so i just dont know whats wrong here.
