SOLVED! An error on our end caused your launch to fail

Yesterday I purchased a EA Play subscription on steam to play Titanfall for the first time and just can not play it at all
Every single time EA App shows "An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later"
I tried messing with launching as administrator and compatibility options in .exe files properties, replaced EA Desktop with outdatedEADesktop folder in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop, cleared app's cache, used App Recovery, reinstalled both EA App and Titanfall multiple times

I can not launch the game via Steam and just via EA App, no issues with other games btw
I am also not able to get my money back, my refund requests just getting overturned and I genuinely feel scammed at this point
Please help me launch and play Titanfall...
Thanks in advance

  • Well...
Who would have thought that the problem is EA App itself
I solved my problem by checking many many many different posts here with a similar issue
So THE solution is to uninstall EA App, install Origin and make it to not update automatically so you will not be forced to switch to EA App again

Here are the steps you will need to follow to make your games work:
    - Uninstall EA App
    - Download and install Origin 10.5.122 (I used this link (REMOVED)
Uncheck all auto update and auto run options!
    - Do not log in yet, just close the app
    - Open C:\ProgramData\Origin\local.xml file in notepad and add line below before the </Settings> line then save and exit
    <Setting key="MigrationDisabled" type="1" value="true" />
    - Now check this three folders for OriginThinSetupInternal.exe file and delete it
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
    C:\ProgramData\Origin
    C:\ProgramData\Origin\SelfUpdate\Staged
(I found it only in two folders)
    - Start Origin and log into your account

Voilà! You can now use good(arguably) old Origin and play your games as before
Shout out to Mardoin69 for this solution

  • @AchieHoe Also btw idk if I did something wrong but I think this does not work anymore, It just says please use EA app now when you login, good to know they patched that but not the issues consumers are having with being able to access their products.
