Have the exact same problem. I click on games and none of them will launch. This really sucks as I wanted to try Jedi Fallen Order but can't. Was even considering buying it if the 10 hours I get to play it was good. EA really needs to sort this. Anyway, I'm going to try reinstalling EA Desktop and see what happens.
EDIT- FIXED!!! Just launch Xbox app first, then EA Desktop and your games will launch.
