So the past week, I started facing this issue as well. I have tried pretty much everything the people above have mentioned
(Uninstalling/reinstalling EA App, registry clean, PC Clean reinstall, resetting my router, using a bunch of ip / and netsh commands to get my windows network settings reset)
None of that worked.
I was able to find a few solutions/workaround that work for me atleast. Feel free to try them out
1. Using a VPN(for some reason the IP Masking or whatever it is that VPNs do seems to do the trick)
2. Using mobile data and connecting to PC with hotspot(someone in this thread suggested this and i tried and it works for me)
3. Connecting to a Warp network using a software called Cloud Warp(the best solution at the moment(for me atleast), make sure to get it from the 1.1.1.1 website).
You do lose a bit of download and upload speeds in general but its much much better than not being able to play with friends at all.
These are the 3 workaround/fixes that worked for me. I know these will be temporary solutions until EA fixes it from their side.
The issue does seem to be IP related and one of my friends who also had this issue was able to completely fix this after resetting his router, but I didn't have any luck with that.
Hopefully one of these can be a workaround for people who are desperate and need a temporary solution.
