Xbox app failing to connect to EA app

I  have tried uninstalling the XBOX App, EA App and reseting all app caches to no avail.

This product seems to just not want to integrate with the XBOX app. It stopped working some time last year and has not worked since.

I have tried installing on a different PC (not previously used for xbox or ea and it is still the same.)

I wonder if XBOX Game Pass would be cheaper without EA Play (as it does not seem to want to work at all)
