Can't link my Xbox account that says it's already linked

I am getting the same message as what Xinuchan posted except I still have full access to both my Xbox and EA accounts. When I try to link my EA account it says it is already linked but it is not reflecting that on either of my EA or Xbox accounts. No reply from EA help desk on this. I created a new EA account but I cannot link the new one because the old EA account is already linked.
